My History
I first started making games using GameMaker in either 2010 (school - year 7) or 2011 (school - year 8) in which I had no previous game making knowledge or coding experience. From there I taught myself how to use GML ( GameMaker Language) and I continuous pushed myself to make things in games that I had never done before such as creating inventories, saving with ini files and making games in 3D.
In 2014 (school - year 11) I felt confident enough with using GameMaker that I decided to release my games on the internet. I decided to upload games to the GameMaker steam workshop to begin with. A short while after I decide to make this website to talk about what I was doing and a place where I could connect people to play my games. I then found Gamejolt and decided to add my future games to it.
I made my first game that I felt like I had completed called Cubes and Dimensions and made it my first game to upload to the site. I also entered it into the Australian STEM Video Game Challenge and it was the winning entry in my category.
The next year (2015) I started my Game Design course and tried to move away from GameMaker and started using unity but found it easier and faster to make games with GameMaker so I went back to making games with it.
I graduated from my game design course at the end of 2016.
